Pizza Party Sewing Camp 2016

Cutting out their aprons

I had a Pizza Party Sewing Camp yesterday.  We started at 9 o'clock and were all done by 2.  As soon as the girls arrived they got to work mixing the dough.  We started by washing our hands and then reading the recipe.  I pulled out the ingredients and they got to work measuring and mixing.  They enjoyed kneading the dough.

Then it was time to start on the aprons.  I found a cute pattern here.  I had drafted the pattern for the girls so all they had to do was cut and sew.

Working on the pizzas

They quickly got to work while the dough was rising.  By the time the dough was ready they had cut out their pieces, made the pocket and sewed it on, got all the straps sewn and pinned in place.

We then went back to the kitchen where they rolled out the dough, spread the tomato paste, added some seasonings and then the cheese.  We let them rest a bit while they worked a little more on their aprons.

Then I helped them place them in the oven and we went back to sewing.  They finished their aprons right on time and then it was time to enjoy their pizza.

We ate our wonderful pizza out on the back patio where they also sampled some cherries from the cheery tree we have.  Everything was declared delicious.

Enjoying the fruits of their labor
