Puerto Vallarta Fun

Lunch on our first day

As we are now 'sheltering in place' due to the corona virus I don't have a lot to share.  No teaching and only a couple of small projects to finish up right now.

View from our room

We had spent a week in Puerto Vallarta in mid March.  We went down there to celebrate a friend's retirement.  Mostly we walked around, learned how to ride the bus into the downtown area and the malecon, stone-built embankment or esplanade along the waterfront.

On our way to our table for dinner

One evening we took a boat to another part of the coast where we enjoyed dinner on the waterfront and a Cirque du Soleil show in the amphitheater there.  It was an amazing show.

Sunset from our table

We celebrated with our friend at at family owned restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.  It was great fun to meet her friends and family.

Iguana on the grounds of Los Tules

A cross on the grounds of Los Tules

We stayed at Los Tules.  It had several pools and was located on the water.  The views were awesome and it had a nice open air restaurant on the grounds that we ate at several times.  My husband really enjoyed their mango margarita with the chili powder rim.

Sunset on the malecon

The last night we were there we went down to the malecon and had dinner at Señor Frogs and watched the sunset.  I would go back here in a heartbeat, that is whenever we get released from home.  I hope you enjoyed these pictures while being cooped up at home.
