Finished boy quilt |
These quilts were a major undertaking. Not only were there t-shirts for the quilts but a wrestling uniform, a swimsuit, baby blankets, baseball jerseys and more.

Baseball jersey with patches |
The client also wanted them to be 90" x 90" finished size with a fabric border. Fortunately I have a quilter that is up to the challenge of working around buttons and patches.
School uniform shirts |
Baseball pants with a hole in the knee |
There were also multiple school shirts that I cut smaller to get just the logo and then joined them to make a larger block. There was lots of math involved to get the right size.
Girl's finished quilt |
The girl's quilt included three different school skirts that I cut to form a larger block. Her mom also included a tank top and a pair of capris that her daughter wore as an outfit almost every day one summer.

I also had school shirts for her that I cut the logos from to form another larger block. The backs are flannel. The boy's quilt had a cotton fabric binding but I couldn't find a good color in a cotton fabric to match the backing flannel on the girl's quilt. I used the flannel for the binding on hers. It was a bit harder to work with as it is a heavier weight fabric than quilting cotton.

Glad to have these finished. Next t-shirt quilt that I have to do is all baseball t-shirts and jerseys.
